For the many employees who come in contact with dogs on a daily basis their description of the animals behavior may be very different from that of the average American. Dogs are often referred to as man’s best friend, which speaks to the relationship one can have with their dog. Also, it is common for families to consider their dog as one of their own family members. However, if you are one of the many businesses whose employees deal with dogs on a regular basis, you know there is a different side to that family pet. Dog bite related injuries and deaths are unsettling to think about for many reasons. For starters, no one wants to think about the pet they love so dearly having the capability of being a viscous killing machine. When reading testimonies of those who have survived or witness a dog attack there is often one resounding similarity, the owner never saw it coming. You will often be told, “Oh, I promise he won’t bite,” all while the dog is showing you his fanged teeth.
In 2014, there were forty-two dog-bite related fatalities. This is an important fact to make note of because twenty of those fatalities were adults. This could be your local newspaper deliverer, electrician, or postal worker simply coming to do a job. Any animal can have unpredictable behavior, so no matter how cute they appear employees should never forget what they are capable of. Bulli Ray has an assortment of products that can help to reduce the affects of a dog bite or help prevent an attack altogether. Lets take a look at the dog bite stick for instance. If an employee is on site to complete a job and realizes they are in danger the dog bite stick can help to keep the dog at a distance. This could give the employee time to escape the yard or the owner time to retrieve their dog. Employees can also find the pop action umbrella or sprayshield to be helpful tools when trying to escape an attacking dog. The pop action umbrella can be used if a dog is approaching in an aggressive manner, simply open and close the umbrella once the animal is about 6 to 8 feet away. Doing this will scare most dogs allowing the employee to avoid an injury all together. The sprayshield is a unique formula that has been tested and approved by Bulli Ray. It is intended to stop an attacking dog while not actually causing it harm. There are also dog bite safety kits, DVD’s and seminars available. With all the tools offered by Bulli Ray employees can continue to further their knowledge and incorporate products to again reduce the risk of dog bite related injuries.
