The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Department is investigating after a woman was attacked Monday by a pack of dogs.
Lincoln County Sheriff Curt Folger confirms a pack of dogs attacked a woman Monday morning in a rural area of the county, near the Boyle County line.
A neighbor says the victim, Loretta Stevens, called her and said she had been attacked by a pack of dogs. Stevens’ daughter, Trivia Hebrock said of as Monday evening, her mother was in fair condition at UK Hospital, but can expect a long road to recovery.
“My mom has it looks a sleeve has been rolled down, the skin is pushed down. You can see the muscle and the tendon running across. She’ll probably never have feelings in it, but she is able to move her hand so that is good. She’s got a strong pulse on it,” Hebrock said.
Hebrock said her mom was outside Monday morning when she saw her cat run towards her, looking scared. Within seconds, Hebrock said her mother was mauled by seven Presa Canarios.
